Professional Recognition for Scots Language Teaching
For the first time ever, teachers were awarded Professional Recognition for Scots Language Teaching by the General Teaching Council for Scotland. The awards were presented at the Scottish Parliament to 12  teachers on 22nd February 2011.

 Report on the National Survey of Teacher Attitudes to Scots Language in Curriculum for Excellence

This Report was conducted by the Research Group of the Education Sub-Committee. It is the first Survey to ask teachers and other education professionals for their views on Scots.
The Education Sub-Committee of the Cross Party Group on the Scots Language is proud to publish this ground-breaking research and recommends this Report to the Scottish Government, all MSPs and education policy makers.
